New Life, New Learning

In new Life, we plan themes and projects that help children expand their knowledge and skills in their holistic development. Children develop deeper understanding of a subject when they make connections and engage in the inquiry- based tasks and assignments. The integrated learning creates meaning to the student’s learning, and with parental involvement builds strong school- home partnership.

Curriculum Pillars

Thematic/Inquiry & Exploratory-based learning

Our curriculum approach has a unique blend of thematic activities which are planned by the teachers and integrated across the different domains which promotes active inquiry / exploration by the children.  Teachers will facilitate and guide the children as they explore further a different facet of the theme which is child-initiated.

Our STEAM-infused curriculum will lay a strong foundation for children to be confident, creative and active learners.

Jolly Phonics / First Steps Readers

Jolly Phonics is child-centered, fun and motivating programme for children to learn how to read. Children learn through a multi-sensory approach where each letter sound is introduced with fun actions, stories and songs.

While Jolly Phonics builds a strong foundation in the phonetics, First Step Readers will provide a balanced, whole-language approach through authentic stories. With a curated selection of 75 readers which can also be accessed in an interactive and animated digital form, First Step Readers provide us with a very robust Literacy programme.

Ednoland Coding & Robotics

Children in K1 and K2 will be prepared to meet the challenges of new technology of the 21 Century. Knowing computational Thinking, Coding and Robotics are some of the IT skills that will prepare the child for the future.

The child will begin learning the basic concept of coding through sequence steps (instructions) by physically moving forward, backward and turn left/right. The child will progress to using a tablet to control a sophisticated robot. At this stage the child will learn to control the robot’s distance, speed, angle, sound and light.

The advance learners will be exposed to the world-renowned Scratch Jr programming developed by MIT.

Ednet Music Explorer Programme (NAC Accreditated)

The Musical Explorer features 3 progressive year-long programmes which centred on musical exploration and immersion. The Music Explorer for N1 and N2 will focus on the exploration of different percussion and melodic instruments. The Music Maker for the K1 will develop the children’s musical sense focusing on rhythm and melody through playing different types of instruments. Currently, the K1 students are learning to play the Ukulele.  The Musician programme for the K2 will focus on the Keyboard and also expose them to ensembles to cultivate teamwork.
